Kicker’s Individual Instruction
When I work with an athlete I teach them a drill training routine and a skill performance routine that they will follow to develop the command of the skill they need to be a successful game performer. And, which they can do on their own.
Through individual instruction I can give a kicker a kicker specific training routine that will hone the techniques he needs to control the ball height, distance and accuracy.
I give the athlete a daily training routine for as long as I am working with them. This way there is no guessing by them as to what to do to improve.
After each session, I also detail the techniques they need to work on in the immediate future to improve. I use a technique checklist so the kicker has a reference to refer to as he works on his own. I keep this progression going until I get them to where they need to be to perform on command.
I videotape each session and post it to a Hudl video account I create for them as part of my Hudl account. This allows them to review each session and learn the techniques and watch themselves improve.
I will also chart/test him at each session so he has a visual representation of his improvement and feedback to discern where he is in relationship to where we want him to be.
At the end of each session I have a consultation time with the kicker and using a calendar we plan his own training sessions around his daily schedule. He then knows what to do for training each day.
The cost for the first training session is $150 and lasts 1 1/2 hours. Each individual training session after that is $100 per session and lasts 1 hour. This fee includes the on-the-field session, the daily training program, videotaping the workout, training a parent to be my assistant coach, and the HUDL video account. This also includes 24-hour consultation time so if he is training on his own his own and has a question he can call, text or email me.
I work with some athletes weekly and others every other week, and some monthly. I can do whatever fits your needs.
As an experienced coach there are 3 things I do for each athlete I train:
1) I give them CONFIDENCE.
2) I give them a VISION of their potential.
3) I am patient with their PROGRESS.
This focus along with the drills I use to develop kicking techniques will allow the athlete to reach his full potential.
FYI…Below are some resources that supplement my individual training. It allows the athlete to have the information I teach to study on his own to learn the skill.

I have two things to help you learn how to kick, books and a daily training app.
Below are the books that will detail the kicking mechanics I teach and the drills to develop them. Each book is about $9.99. I provided the links to them. They are on amazon.com/books.
Teaching and Coaching Football Kicking Mechanics
Core Drills for Developing Football Kicking Skills
Kickers Off-Season Training Program – January to July
Kickers In-Season Daily Practice Schedule: A 10-Week Program for Effectively Preparing and Charting Kickers
The second item is a kicking training and instructional app.
I have a Kicking Training app that has all my drills with coaching notes and coaching videos that will show him how to kick correctly. Go to the app store and type in “HS Kicking” and it will come up. It is only .99 cents for the whole year of training. It never expires so you can use it multiple years.
It is a year round daily kicking training program specifically for kickers. It has each day of the year planned for what to do for lifting, running, kicking drills, etc.
This is the culmination of my experience to be able to help kickers have a complete training program like the other players.
Here is a youtube video that details the kicking training app:
